Stories of Freedom

I came into my EverFree prayer appointment carrying years of disappointment, loss, anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. I knew God’s truth in my head, but somewhere along the way, I had stopped being able to feel it in my heart.

During prayer, Jesus began untangling the lies and shame I had carried for years. I released the weight of my past and received the truth that it no longer gets to define me. I am not guilty. I am loved. I am still a daughter of the King.

I had almost forgotten the joyful, laughing person I used to be. But Jesus reminded me that she is still there—and that He’s not done with me yet.

I left with something I desperately needed: hope. And now I want the freedom I’ve received to someday become a lifeline for someone else.

I came into my prayer appointment feeling like I had reached my limit. Fear and anxiety had followed me for most of my life—through frightening childhood health experiences, surviving an EF4 tornado, fertility struggles, the weight of working with vulnerable children, and eventually deep betrayal in my marriage.

Somewhere along the way, I had learned to survive by staying in control. Deep inside was the belief, “I’m the only one looking out for me.”

But during my appointment, Jesus began meeting me in those wounded places.

He met the frightened seven-year-old girl who was afraid to fall asleep. He met the 20-year-old me who had been buried beneath the rubble of a tornado. And He began exposing lies I had carried for years:

You’ll always be afraid.

The more you do, the more you’re worth.

Your life will be small.

Then Jesus spoke something so simple that pierced my heart:

“I love you because I made you.”

I didn’t have to perform. I didn’t have to protect myself or hold everything together. I could simply be His.

One of the most powerful moments was realizing that I had always thought about Jesus being with me in difficult circumstances. But now I could see myself as being with Him—seated with Christ and living from that place of safety and authority.

Jesus also reminded me of who He created me to be: a joy giver.

I came into the appointment overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, and carrying things I didn’t even realize I was still carrying.

I left feeling lighter and free.

My circumstances hadn’t changed—but somehow, they felt smaller.

Fear no longer felt bigger than Jesus.

I realized that I don’t have to spend my life fighting for freedom.

I can live from the freedom Jesus has already given me

I came into my prayer appointment carrying a heaviness that had begun affecting me physically. I was overwhelmed by circumstances around me and felt a constant knot in my stomach, but during prayer, Jesus revealed that I had been carrying battles and responsibilities that were never mine to hold.

Through prayer, I experienced freedom from control, shame, anger, fear, and spiritual oppression that had been weighing me down. God showed me how to stop fighting circumstances at the “people level” and instead come higher—to pray, intercede, and respond from the frequency of heaven.

He also revealed places where self-protection had affected my marriage and invited me into greater trust, partnership, and honor.

One of the most powerful moments was when God showed Megan’s prayer partner Debbie who I truly am: a lighthouse—a place of search and rescue for people in deep waters who need Jesus.

I left feeling lighter, clearer, and free. I no longer feel responsible for fixing everything around me. Instead, I know where I’m called to stand—with Jesus, carrying His presence and shining His light into the darkness.

We were initially introduced to Inner Healing and deliverance through NOVO.

We saw a desperate need for this and hungered for more. We were introduced to a weekend training that Keith and Megan did in Southern California through Everfree.  We attended this online and learned so much!  We intended to use this in our Church and community.  We struggled initially…  Megan and Keith were so gracious to come alongside us and support and mentor us through some of our early prayer calls.  They then offered to let us observe some of their calls.  This was a game changer for us.  We saw how the meetings flowed, how the tools are used and how they pivot and flow with the leading of the spirit. After a few of these we felt equipped to start doing our own prayer calls.  They continued to check in and make themselves available any time we had questions or needed additional coaching.

Then they invited us to be a part of Everfree, and we truly feel like part of the team. We are having so much fun doing prayer calls every week. We are so blessed by each one and are honored to have a front row seat to see how Jesus tenderly meets, loves and heals His children in such an individual and personal way.

Keith has been a great support to me in providing spiritual guidance on several vital personal and professional matters. He has helped me recognize important things in prayer and how to effectively bring them before God. I associate this with Keith showing me significant insights in my life that are having a very positive impact on my life and ministry today. With his spiritual gifts, he has helped me put things in the right perspective and to pray, lead, and live in God-given authority.

I am a Lead Director of a major ministry division in a German free church denomination with over 500 congregations. Through his prayer support, Keith has had a major impact on my leadership abilities and, consequently, on my organization. Personally, I have grown in my following of Jesus and have been able to fulfill my significant responsibilities more effectively and consistently. My approach to leading people has changed, as has my spiritual approach to ministry. I am very, very grateful to Keith for his support.

For years, Suzy carried the invisible weight of perfectionism, performance, fear, and responsibility that was never hers to carry. During her Everfree Prayer Appointment, Jesus met her in those deeply rooted places and helped her release the burden of needing to fix, protect, and perform.

She walked away lighter and freer—with a renewed identity, confirmation of her prophetic gifting, and a beautiful invitation to stop striving and simply follow the Holy Spirit one day at a time.

What once felt like a weighted vest was lifted. Fear lost its place, and Jesus took the center.

Everfree has been such a help to me as I seek to help our church become stronger in their prayer lives. From training to prayer tools to prayer appointments, I’m so grateful to Everfree for how they’ve helped our church to grow.

Over the past decade, Highland Park Pres has been experiencing a surge in prayer breakthrough.  Everfree’s inner healing ministry, prayer training, and prayer coaching has greatly contributed to the spiritual transformation and prayer movement we are currently experiencing as a church family.  Thank you Keith, Megan, and Meg for the hours and hours of partnership you have poured into equipping our flock to know Jesus more intimately and respond to him more obediently through prayer.  What a faith ride we are on!

Things have been so much better (hallelujah)! I feel like I’ve been able to let so many things go – the need for control, the fear, the self-doubt, etc. I know a huge part of that was our prayer session… I’ve thought a lot about one specific prayer you prayed – that I’d be able to recognize the voice of the enemy. I feel able to do that to a degree now that it barely even registers and I don’t pay any attention to it. It’s like an annoying fly that I’m able to just swat away, and that’s such a huge change for me. I feel like my internal self-talk (which used to be so negative and critical) has gotten a lot kinder. I mean massive, massive, amazing changes.

I also went on a silent Jesuit retreat toward the end of my leave and that was so good for my relationship with God as well. I think I use do be afraid to have intentionally slow spaces in my life because my brain was always on and criticizing, but that retreat really showed me that there is nothing to fear from slowing down and having “empty” space. I feel like God showed in a massive way throughout that retreat and for the first time in a long time, I’m hearing him in prayer, through his word, etc. So much of what he has been showing me is about cultivating quiet places where I can seek him and hear him. It has been truly life-changing, and you have played such a huge part in that!!! Truly, I can’t say thank you enough

The appointment was so wonderful!  I am still enjoying the joy and peace and freedom I gained from the session.  I have new images in my mind that are very pleasant and encouraging – replacing old negative ones.  It was truly life-changing – set me free from some lifelong bondages that I wasn’t even aware of prior to the appointment! I am also enjoying much less fear.  Hallelujah!

It also gave me more information about my true identity from the Lord and parts of my calling, some things that I had long ago forgotten.

I am happy and excited to continue on this adventure with the Lord and see what He has in store for me and my family.

Mary came into her prayer appointment carrying years of anger, frustration, and the pain of feeling unseen and unheard. But as we followed the Holy Spirit, He revealed that the anger was only the surface. Beneath it were deep wounds of powerlessness, rejection, suppressed emotions, and lies she had carried since childhood.

We watched as Jesus met Mary in those wounded places. She forgave, released generational burdens, broke agreement with lies, and surrendered what she had carried for decades.

By the end, anger had been replaced with empowerment, heaviness with freedom, and hopelessness with a renewed capacity to love.

This is the beauty of an Ever Free prayer appointment: we don’t simply pray about what you’re struggling with—we invite the Holy Spirit to reveal what’s underneath it and allow Jesus to bring healing and freedom at the root.

My prayer time yesterday was nothing short of life changing. Deep roots of wounding were uprooted and Jesus met us there.

I had a big event today at work and the freedom I felt walking in. I felt more alive today doing what I’ve been called to do than I have in a decade.

This morning immediately the enemy voice tried to disguise himself with my voice and I recognized and was able to shut it down. That’s exactly what you prayed for me.

Thank you for holding that space for deep healing to take place. I look forward to the weeks ahead of sitting and listening to Jesus and Holy Spirit on how to walk out this new fun and freedom in a way to gives life to others.

During my EverFree Prayer appointment we went through a few different prayer tools that really helped me receive healing and freedom. We went through a bloodline cleansing prayer and were able to identify some demonic spirits associated with my family line and remove them from me and cover my heritage with the blood of Jesus! We also used the white wall prayer tool where Jesus led me to an early childhood memory where fear came in, as a child it looked like a knotted ball of yarn, Jesus took this root of fear from me and any demonic associated with it. I was able to reintegrate with that younger part of me and felt such lightness and freedom! As we prayed Jesus healed my emotional wounds and we took back ground the enemy stole! I praise Jesus for His faithfulness and I have been so amazed at the freedom I’ve experienced after this prayer time. I have the fruit of the spirit operating in a greater capacity because the enemy no longer has ground to thwart it. Thank you Jesus!

I woke up this morning at 4:30 with a deep yearning to sit with the Lord over the notes you sent after our call yesterday. There is so much to process with his majesty as Teresa calls him. I listened to the songs and let the tears of healing just flow. I wanted to thank you both for partnering with heaven and with us to help usher me into a very powerful and incredibly timed shift out of this fog I’ve been in for the past 4 years.

I am so thankful for your yes to Jesus to use the time and energy he has freely given you, back to him and to his kingdom in this unique and powerful way. I forgot how much I love engaging God in heaven. Being there, feeling the angelic presence, moving with him, Dave and you ladies in prayer was like returning to the only place I’ve ever felt truly at home.

The fog is lifting indeed!

Wow, wow, wow! I’m still in awe and wonder of our time together. I can breathe deeper and feel more free than I ever have. Falling down prostrated in worship before the Lord finally makes sense after experiencing God in this way through prayer.

The After Prayer Podcast is great! So helpful and I’m journaling and processing all that God did. I’ve been using the tools you taught me with success which is so powerful and encouraging. The Holy Spirit is so near and tenderly guiding me. Fear does sound different, it’s not my voice anymore, and the Holy Spirit is showing me things and guiding me in what to do/say to stay in truth.

Sisters, thank you! Words truly escape me to express how grateful I am for your boldness and faithfulness in your ministry. It’s deeply healing and beautiful. Your tender care, hand holding, and love are powerful. I felt so safe, which was essential for break through. I’m so grateful for who you are in my story and all that God has for me as I continue to grow and walk in my identity and authority. I will be in touch. This is so exciting!!!
